A security guard was arrested Monday night on suspicion of sexually abusing two young sisters at an immigrant shelter on the Upper West Side, law enforcement officials said.
Police and officials say Creeper Oscar Delgado, 38, inappropriately assaulted two brothers, ages 11 and 8, in a hallway at the shelter on West 88th Street near Riverside Drive around 7 p.m. I had some contact with you.
Authorities said Delgado approached the children as they were playing, pushed the older girl's buttocks, fondled her and tried to put his hand inside her pants.
According to police, the patient allegedly turned towards his sister and touched her vagina through her clothes.
The older girl reported the disturbing behavior to her mother, who then called 911, officials said.
The two girls who were staying at the shelter were taken to Mount Sinai Morningside for treatment.
Delgado was arrested at the scene and charged with sexual abuse, forcible touching and child endangerment, authorities said.
The facility, formerly the New York Institute of Technology's Riverside Terrace Residence Hall, opened last year as an emergency shelter amid the immigration crisis, the Post reported at the time.
The building had a capacity of 125 rooms.
