Hollywood star Alyssa Milano is the latest left-wing celebrity to flee X/Twitter following President-elect Donald Trump's victory.
For years, she used the platform to launch attacks against then-Supreme Court nominee and now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Anointing the queen of the #MeToo movement. And lecture Americans on coronavirus countermeasures, abortion, and a host of other left-wing hobby horses.
Alyssa Milano's account was no longer active as of Sunday, and the platform returned a message saying “this account no longer exists.” Meanwhile, her “Sorry Not Sorry” podcast profile directs users to BlueSky.
Her resignation comes after a number of celebrity influencers defected from the Elon Musk-owned platform in the wake of Trump's landslide victory. Others include Rob Reiner, Bette Midler, Barbra Streisand, and Stephen King.
Alyssa Milano has used Twitter for years to promote herself as a leader of the #MeToo movement, a role she herself assumed following her high-profile appearance at the Kavanaugh hearings. The actress has repeatedly used her account to smear Kavanaugh and Trump, ad nauseam attacking Trump during his first term in the White House.
Most recently, it tried to cancel Elon Musk after he took over Twitter.
In 2022, Milano tweeted his distaste for Musk without mentioning him by name. “I returned my Tesla. I bought a Volkswagen EV,” she wrote, adding that she loves her new car.
He also urged advertisers to boycott Twitter, falsely claiming that the site had aligned itself with “white supremacy” under Musk's leadership. (The commenter pointed out that Volkswagen was founded by the German Labor Front, a Nazi labor organization.)
Milano also appears to incorrectly describe Twitter as a publicly traded company, when in reality it is now a private company following Musk's acquisition.
