Bills fans may have had a little too much fun Sunday night when Buffalo defeated the 49ers 35-10 in the snow.
Fans threw snowballs onto the field multiple times during the game. That included the 49ers' kick and when Christian McCaffrey was off the field with a serious injury.
As McCaffrey walked toward the tunnel with the 49ers' staff, at least one snowball could be seen whizzing by the San Francisco star. Video posted by Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area.
He didn't seem to be reacting to the snowman.
Another example occurred in the first quarter when 49ers kicker Jake Moody was lining up for a 33-yard field goal when a fan spotted the ball passing through the uprights. I was trying to shoot it with a snowball.
A snowball could be seen flying toward the ball, but it didn't appear to connect, and even if it did, it didn't seem to block the path of the field goal.
At this point, the kick gave the Niners a three-point lead over the Bills.
But this snow also produced other fun moments, such as Bills fans throwing snow in the air and throwing snowballs after Ray Davis scored Buffalo's first touchdown.
Orchard Park had been hit with about two feet of snow by Sunday morning, with local authorities warning football fans of dangerous conditions.
“We do not expect the game to be postponed. The game will continue. [We’ve] There were colder games… [But] People need to be prepared. It's the first real cold weather this season. We haven't seen anything like this all year,” Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said. According to CBS Sports.
