A grieving brother, Arben “Benny” Krasniqi, of Scarsdale, told the Post that he shot Arben's younger brother, Pajtim, five times just after midnight on the ocean-facing balcony of a luxury condominium in Hallandale Beach. Pajtim's respect for his family left a deep impression on people young and old, including his nephew Arbor Gashi. In a eulogy shared with the Post, Gashi wrote that his uncle was “a constant source of joy, strength and love.”
“He had a unique talent for finding joy in the simplest things and reminding us that life is worth celebrating,” his nephew wrote.

Benny said his charismatic younger brother is the only one of his siblings born in the United States.
Benny added that about five years ago, Pazitim was in a bad motorcycle accident.

“He trained, he worked hard…and he beat all odds and came back on both feet,” Benny said.

“He always said I was his hero. I never told him he was my hero. Now he's gone. This awful person has lost him. It was taken away from me.”
