And every time Pajtim visited his home in the Big Apple, he made sure to meet every member of his vast family, said his eldest daughter Ardiana.

“He made time for everyone and brought us all together,” she said from her parents' home in Scarsdale.

“That's why everyone loved him,” she said of Pazitim. “Every time he visited my mom or for the holidays, whatever it was, he always visited the whole family before he left.

“Our mother is devastated,” said Albana Krasniqi Manlet, the victim's other sister.

“That's her baby. He called her every day. He treated my mom like gold.”

Pajtim's respect for his family left a deep impression on people young and old, including his nephew Arbor Gashi. In a eulogy shared with the Post, Gashi wrote that his uncle was “a constant source of joy, strength and love.”

“He had a unique talent for finding joy in the simplest things and reminding us that life is worth celebrating,” his nephew wrote.

“He understood that true love is not just in the big gestures, but in the little moments…the conversations, the memories shared, the quiet support that isn't always acknowledged, but It means everything.”

Benny said his charismatic younger brother is the only one of his siblings born in the United States.

Benny added that about five years ago, Pazitim was in a bad motorcycle accident.

However, in an incredible feat of physical and mental strength, he ignored doctors' recommendations to have his leg amputated and instead suffered 16 surgeries and an excruciating rehabilitation process.

“He trained, he worked hard…and he beat all odds and came back on both feet,” Benny said.

“As soon as he got home – I'll never forget – he flushed all the painkillers down the toilet,” he continued. “I wish I had the mental strength like him.”

“He always said I was his hero. I never told him he was my hero. Now he's gone. This awful person has lost him. It was taken away from me.”
