Vice President-elect J.D. Vance has invited recently acquitted Marine Corps veteran Daniel Penny to the Army-Navy football game scheduled for this Saturday, multiple sources have confirmed.

Penny will be joining Vance (R-Ohio) and President-elect Donald Trump in their suite for the game scheduled for Landover, Maryland.
A Marine veteran was cleared of all charges this week in the death of homeless subway passenger Jordan Neely. Neely threatened a passenger on a New York City subway train last year, and Penny intervened by choking him during the threat.
“I have not said much about this case for fear of influencing the jury (negatively),” Vance posted on X on Monday after the verdict. “But thank God, justice was served in this case. It was a scandal that led to Penny being indicted in the first place.”
“Daniel is a good guy. New York's mob district attorney tried to ruin Daniel's life because he had a backbone,” Vance posted on X Friday. “I am grateful that he accepted my invitation. I hope he enjoys himself and realizes how much his countrymen admire his courage.”
On Tuesday he sat down and fox nation Interview with Judge Jeanine Pirro, first comments after acquittal. Penny said she was “not a confrontational person” but was worried someone would get hurt when Neely got into the subway car and started acting erratic.
“I'm going to go to court a million times and let people say bad things about me and people hate me so that one of them doesn't get hurt or killed.” Penny said.
To celebrate his acquittal, Penny was seen drinking beer at a bar in the area.
