Los Angeles' deputy mayor issued a statement after his home was raided by the FBI earlier this year as part of an investigation into a bomb threat against City Hall.
Brian Williams, who was appointed by Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass to oversee security, is currently under investigation over a bomb threat.

“Los Angeles City Hall was evacuated after a suspicious package was discovered in the lobby.”
The mayor's office acknowledged the accusations in a statement Wednesday and announced that Williams was placed on administrative leave effective immediately.
“When the threat was reported, the LAPD investigated and determined there was no immediate danger. After additional investigation, the LAPD referred the matter to the FBI for further investigation,” the statement reads. It's dark.
Prior to joining the Bass office in March 2023, Mr. Williams
worked He served as executive director of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Civilian Oversight Commission for seven years.
