President-elect Donald Trump has made it clear that he is “totally opposed” to the continuing resolution (CR), which is loaded with unrelated and expensive provisions.

“Raising the debt ceiling is not a great thing, but I would rather do it on Biden’s watch,” the statement continued. “If Democrats won't cooperate on the debt ceiling now, why would anyone think they will cooperate in June under our administration? Let's have this discussion now. And what Chuck Schumer and the Democrats want? We should pass a streamlined spending bill that doesn't give us everything.”
