Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of President-elect Donald Trump, has announced that she is withdrawing her name as a candidate for the U.S. Senate.
“After incredible thought, deliberation, and encouragement from so many incredible people, I have decided to remove my name from the consideration of the United States Senate,” Lara Trump wrote. post With X.
“I could not be more honored to serve as co-chair of the RNC during the most high-stakes election of our lifetimes. I'm truly humbled by the incredible support you've given me, the state of Florida,” Lara Trump added. “I have read so many of our kind messages and cannot thank you enough.”
Lara Trump's announcement comes as she considers running to replace Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Florida) and steps down as co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC). It was done. Mr. Rubio was nominated by President Trump to be Secretary of State.
