Even Civilian Drones from China Are Risks, Can Be Controlled by CCP

In part of an interview with NBC News that aired on “NBC Nightly News” on Tuesday, Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said that drones used by civilians are made in China. He said it is still dangerous if the software is used.

“If that software is made in China and ultimately controlled by the Chinese Communist Party, then at any point in time a drone could be held liable,” Warner said.

NBC News Justice and Information Correspondent Ken Dilanian said, “Congress has announced a bipartisan move that will pave the way for a ban on the sale of Chinese-made drones in the United States, including consumer models used by millions of Americans.'' We passed the bill,” he said. Sales of new Chinese-made drones are likely to be discontinued in a year's time. However, you can continue to use your existing ones. ”

He then played a clip of Warner saying, “We'll all be safer if these drones are ultimately made in places not controlled by the Chinese Communist Party.”

Diranian also said there are concerns that data collected by drones could be sent to China.
