Nebraska state senator lashes out at critics over transgender issues, citing the Christmas season as a reason.
Democratic state Sen. Megan Hunt, an outspoken supporter of transgender issues, was suspended on Christmas Day for indiscriminately slandering someone on social media. Hunt's 14-year-old child was born biologically female but identifies as male.
“Remember that this holiday season as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and all that He represents.”
One person responded to Hunt saying she seemed to realize her child was a girl again, when Hunt fired a derisive jab.
“I'm glad your daughter is a girl again,” the account said. identify As one conservative wrote to Hunt:
“I'm going to say what I actually want you to take. The difference between us is that I love my child no matter what.” Hunt answered.
“As we celebrate the birth of our Lord and all that He represents this holiday season, please remember that. I stand behind Him and say, Fuck you,” she added.
Mr. Hunt previously image His own statements supporting pro-trans messages.
The sign read, “If you don't respect your fellow transgender people, we'll label you a terrible problem.”
Hunt is claimed She said she has faced harassment and violence over publicly accepting her child as a transgender boy and supporting transgender policies as a state senator.
“What's really upset me this year,” she said in June 2023, “is working with people who know me. These are people I have traveled with and have worked with my children over the years. – People who have been my sitters and helped my family in many ways, but at the end of the day, they are harming my family even though they know me personally. So I took this weird, far-right, extreme vote.”
