Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection last week and is scheduled to undergo surgery to remove his prostate on Sunday.
Prime Minister Netanyahu's office announced the surgery on Saturday, explaining that the infection “results from a benign enlargement of the prostate.” The operation comes as 75-year-old Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu leads Israel in multiple conflicts with Iran and its terrorist proxy groups across the Middle East.
Just this week, the Israel Defense Forces launched a series of airstrikes against Yemen's Houthi rebels, targeting Sana'a International Airport and other targets.
“The Houthi terrorist regime has repeatedly attacked the state of Israel and its people, including with drone and surface-to-surface missile attacks on Israeli territory,” the IDF said in a statement Thursday.

“Targets attacked by the IDF include military infrastructure used by the Houthi terrorist regime for military operations, at Sana'a International Airport and both the Hiz Yaz and Ras Kanatib power plants. They also attacked Arabian military infrastructure – the ports of Hodeidah, Salih and Ras Kanatib on the west coast. ”

The Houthi rebels, who control much of northern Yemen, have been shelling Israel for more than a year in support of Hamas terrorists at war with the Jewish state. The Houthis are attempting to enforce their trade embargo against Israel by firing missiles and drones at cargo ships crossing the Red Sea, a major international trade route.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Netanyahu has also testified in corruption cases within Israel. The prime minister began testifying in early December and is expected to remain on the stand for several weeks.

Approximately 140 witnesses have taken the stage so far at the trial, fewer than the 300 originally planned. Witnesses include celebrities such as a former prime minister, a former security chief and media personalities.
