Wild video shows Tesla Cybertruck on fire outside Trump hotel

Wild video shows a Tesla Cybertruck burst into flames outside Trump Tower on Wednesday — ironically with Tesla owner Elon Musk in the picture. Saw it in the new year With President-elect Donald Trump, for whom the hotel is named.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police confirmed “We are investigating a vehicle fire that occurred at the entrance to Trump Tower,” he said, without elaborating on how the fire started or whether there was anything suspicious.

Video taken by the hotel showed a Tesla electric pickup truck parked just outside bursting into flames, sending huge plumes of smoke across the Strip.

In the video, which quickly garnered more than 1.5 million views on Musk's own social media site X, you can hear explosions and whistles, and someone can be heard saying, “I think the battery blew.” Ta.

A user captioned the clip: “A Cybertruck exploded in front of the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas. That's our luggage by the door and where we were when it happened.”

Another video taken from a distance shows smoke billowing and someone can be heard saying, “I just heard a thud.”

“It was a buzzing sound, like a trash can rolling over,” the man can be heard describing in the video.

People quickly understood the irony of Musk's company car bursting into flames in front of a 64-story luxury building co-owned by Trump.

The SpaceX founder has been tapped to co-head President Trump's new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and is renting a $2,000-a-night suite at Mar-a-Lago to be near Trump.

“Is someone texting you?” one user wrote, while another teasingly suggested: sign? Coincidence? I don't know…”

It is unclear at this time whether there was any foul play or whether it was an accident.

Police did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday.
