The Dallas Cowboys and Mike McCarthy have reportedly decided to part ways after the two sides were unable to agree on a contract extension.
McCarthy and the Cowboys were unable to reach an agreement on the length of his contract, and the two teams will part ways as the one-time Super Bowl-winning head coach's contract expires this week. NFL Network It was reported on Monday.

McCarthy is reportedly expected to have interest from other teams. It is rumored that the Chicago Bears requested an interview with McCarthy, but he declined. This could allow McCarthy to interview with the Bears or other teams.
ESPN reported that the New Orleans Saints are also expected to be interested in McCarthy.
He was hired as the Cowboys' head coach before the 2020 season, replacing Jason Garrett, who was at the helm for 10 years. McCarthy went 6-10 in his first season, but had some success when the team was healthy.

Dallas went 12-5 and won two district titles from 2021-2023. The team made the playoffs every year, but never made it back to the NFC Championship, missing the Super Bowl since 1995 when they last won.
