The Palisades, Eaton, and Hearst fires continue to burn and have claimed more than 37,000 acres and dozens of lives.

Naturally, Americans also wonder how Newsom (D-Calif.) and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass were able to allow a disaster of this scale to occur, especially given the initial warnings. I'm starting to have it.

Newsom reportedly cut funding for wildfire and forest resiliency by more than $100 million in June 2024. newsweek sparking outrage over his mismanagement and lack of precautions.

Meanwhile, President-elect Donald Trump has not hesitated to criticize Newsom's “incompetence.”

“Governor Gavin Newscome will allow millions of gallons of water from excess rain and snowmelt from the north to flow daily into many areas of California, including areas currently on fire. , refused to sign the Water Restoration Declaration before him, in a virtually apocalyptic manner,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

In response, Newsom quickly created a website to address “misinformation” about California's prevention and response efforts, while also linking to a website for making donations through ActBlue. It encouraged users to donate money and provide personal information to Democratic Party fundraising websites.

“There's a lot of misinformation out there, and we've just launched a new site to give the public access to factual data about Southern California's wildfires,” Newsom said. I wrote in the post.

Furious users reacted to Newsom's announcement on social media.

“So at the bottom of your “facts” site, you’re asking people to donate to a fund run by ACTBLUE. So not only are you completely incompetent and a failure, but you've been telling lies for a long time, and yet you're asking people to donate to a site where some of that money goes to raise money for the Democratic Party. ! Southern California is literally burning with no end in sight because of Democratic policies! ” 1 user answered.

“he [fundraising] for their own political gain. He is not posting from the governor's account, and the link to “Fundraising” is actually [an] Act Blue Account!! He is a criminal! ” added one more.

If a user clicks on the donation link, Newsom's Democratic Movement Political Action Committee, the donor will also receive a text message from the Democratic Party PAC.

Meanwhile, Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) reposted the link and wrote: ?100% of your donations will go directly to these organizations. ”

But the Masu.”
