The California Highway Patrol is searching for two dirt bike riders who gathered more than a dozen other bikers and started a police chase through multiple cities Thursday afternoon.
The two riders are reportedly accused of calling in up to 12 additional riders to join the chase across Los Angeles, via East Los Angeles, Inglewood, Mid-City and Pico Union. has been Affiliate FOX11.
FOX 11 reports that the two initial suspects were riding white and purple dirt bikes and were both wearing black clothing. Some participants rode bicycles of the same color and wore clothes of the same color.

Aerial cameras tracked the expedition and captured motorcycle and ATV riders doing wheelies and calling other riders on cellphones.
At times, riders were driving on the wrong side of the road.

Officials would not confirm to FOX 11 the charges that led to the initial pursuit.
The chase lasted about 30 minutes before authorities called it off.

Los Angeles first responders are still battling historic wildfires in the area.
Fox News Digital reported that numerous unrelated crimes occurred during and after the disaster.
