Sean Curran, the head of President-elect Trump's personal Secret Service security division, is expected to become the agency's next director.
“President Trump will nominate Sean Curran, head of the Office of Personal Intelligence, to head the Secret Service,” the president-elect's son, Donald Trump Jr., announced on X Friday.
“Sean is a great patriot and will stop all the madness once and for all. There is no one more qualified for this position!”

Mr. Curran was among a group of heroic operatives who rushed to the stage and physically shielded President Trump during the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, that left two people dead and the candidate injured in his ear.
Mr. Curran appeared next to Mr. Trump and the video showed the former president and president-elect standing up with blood streaming down their faces and pumping their fists, drawing cheers from the audience.

Three bystanders were shot and killed. They were Firefighter Corey Comperatore, 50, who died from his injuries; David Dutch, 57 years old. and James Copenhaver, 74, both survive.
In the aftermath, President Trump praised members for personal details and defended them from criticism.

“For all of Butler's mistakes, the mistakes were made by the advance team. The agents assigned to Trump and Curran acted exactly as trained.”
