Two men were viciously stabbed just steps away from a Lower East Side movie theater Saturday night, leaving one dead and another injured, police said.
Police said the riot occurred at 8:32 p.m. near the Regal-Essex intersection at Delancey Street and Norfolk Street.
Police said a man, believed to be in his 20s, was stabbed in the abdomen with a knife, and a 19-year-old man was stabbed in the back.
Medical personnel rushed them to New York City Health Hospital/Bellevue, but the elderly victims could not be saved.
The boy was listed in stable condition.
A knife was recovered at the scene, officials said.
Police said two suspects were taken into custody, but the motive for the attack was unknown.

Local residents were shaken by Saturday night's violence.
“It's a mess,” said Paul, a local resident staring at the police tape. “That's terrible.”
