As Biden admin ends, parents group calls on Congress to designate ‘American Girls in Sports Day’

Four years after the Biden administration pushed through executive policies allowing biological males into female spaces, Parents Protect Education Action (PDE) urges Congress to address violence against women in athletics. They are calling on the NCAA to rescind its transgender policy and make an Oct. 1 declaration. 10 “American Girls at Sports Day”

The measure was introduced as a bill and two resolutions sponsored by Tennessee Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn.

PDE President Nicole Neily said in an interview with FOX News Digital that the Biden administration's actions regarding women's sports over the past four years have been “terrible.”

“Think about the original purpose of Title IX. It was created to protect and ensure that women didn't lose out on opportunities because of sex. And now we know that “We're watching the sex of young girls being used as a weapon. This completely defeats the purpose of the law.”

Naley said designating the American Women's Athletic Association would “commemorate all the sacrifices and hard work that went into reaching that status, but the Biden administration refuses to even honor that definition.” “We just see equality stripped away.” the word “woman”

in spite of President Donald Trump returns to the White House this weekNeily said it's important for Congress to act now.

“We can’t keep repeating this caning every four years,” she said. “It's critical that Congress gets involved in these issues because Congress codifies it and locks it up.”

“It turns out that all these administrators, all these bureaucrats, have all kinds of wiggle room where they have to reinterpret something,” she said, “I mean, even Title IX. Let's take a look at how it has been weaponized and interpreted by government agencies in the past” years. Title IX, part of the Education Act, was ratified in 1972 and consists of 37 words, and we're now watching Democrats interpret one simple word: “sex.” they completely rewrite its meaning [to include] Sexual orientation, gender identity, and that's not what's there.

Blackburn introduced the measure in the Senate earlier this month.

The bill, entitled the Fair Play for Girls Act, would require the U.S. Attorney General to analyze violence against women in sports and submit policy recommendations to Congress to protect young women in sports. It is mandatory to do so. Analysis includes barriers to fair and safe competition for biological female athletes, the prevalence of girls being denied opportunities in women's sports by biological males, and the prevalence of sexual harassment and abuse of women and girls in athletics. It will be done.

Another resolution introduced by Blackburn would require the NCAA, which governs intercollegiate sports at more than 1,000 colleges and universities nationwide, to rescind its policy allowing transgender athletes to compete in opposite-sex sports and to It requires that people follow policies based on their biological sex. all sports.

Finally, the American Girls in Sports Day resolution recognizes October 10th as a day to honor the achievements of female athletes.

In addition to PDE, Blackburn's action has been supported by prominent women's sports activists Riley Gaines, Caitlyn Jenner, the Independent Women's Forum, and several others.

Neily said she believes these measures need bipartisan support and that they simply protect vulnerable girls and recognize their accomplishments.

“In recent years, we have all seen videos of women involved in sports being physically injured, such as being hit in the face with a volleyball spike. [or] Someone is whipping a field hockey ball,” she said.

“There are significant biological differences between men and women,” she continued. “So, think about lacrosse. Male lacrosse players throw the ball at an average speed of 85 to 95 miles per hour. And that's exactly why male lacrosse players wear chest protectors and helmets. Female lacrosse players… They throw the ball at an average of 85 to 95 miles per hour.'' 45 to 65 miles per hour, but they don't. So when a biological male with that kind of muscle and that bone structure throws a ball to a girl, it hits her. There is a real risk of serious injury or death. ”

All of this works to limit girls' opportunities to compete fairly, she said.

“I've known a lot of college athletes in my life and you know how much work it takes to be a D1, D2, D3 athlete, these are students who have put in thousands of hours of their lives.” “It goes back to when you were very, very young to get into that elite position of university,” she explained. “So I think it's really terrible for them to have a spot on the team and a scholarship opportunity taken away from someone who is considered faster, purely for biological reasons.” These are people who have made many sacrifices and worked hard. ”
