Justin Trudeau caught on hot mic saying Trump plans to annex Canada ‘a real thing’

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been caught up in a hot microphone saying that President Trump's story of making Canada “real” the 51st state is “real.”

Trudeau commented on Canadian business and workers leaders at a closed door meeting on Friday. CBS News reported.

“The Trump administration not only knows the number of important minerals we have, but that's even the reason they continue to talk about absorbing us and making us the 51st state. I suggest something that may be,” Trudeau said. According to the Daily Beast.

“They are very aware of our resources, what we have and they are very hoping that they can benefit from them. But Trump has said that I keep in mind that it is one of the easiest ways to absorb the country, and it's real,” he said.

Comments were confirmed by Alberta Labor Federation President Gil McGowan on Friday in X-Post.

“Yes, Trudeau can confirm that his assessment said that what Trump really wanted is not action against fentanyl, immigration, or even trade deficits. What he really wants is Canada. It's about controlling or taking it completely. Tariffs are tactics towards that end.” McGowan said.

Since taking office, Trump will impose tariffs on America's biggest trading partners to raise revenue, correct trade deficits and punish the trio of nations in other ways while deadly fentanyl enters the United States. I vowed to do so.

Just a few days after taking office, Trump announced plans to impose 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada. Both Canadian and Mexican duties were put on hold for a month for 11 hours.

Trump frequently talks about his desire to incorporate Canada into the US, and has previously referred to Trudeau as “Governor Trudeau.” He also publicly declared plans to acquire Greenland, the Panama Canal and the Gaza Strip.
