The Department of Education (DOE) has granted more than $100 million to fund diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) training as part of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) sweep of “wasteful” expenditures I'm canceling the money.
Doge, the division led by Elon Musk, cuts costs within the federal government and announced the end of its $89 million $89 contract in an X post Monday night.
Of the nearly $1 billion, Doge has identified $101 million used in DEI training, including teaching educators who can help students understand/interrogate the complex histories involved in oppression. Help students help them to personally and collectively recognize the realm of privilege and power.”
“Your taxes have been spent on this,” Musk wrote about DOE spending.

According to Doge, the education department will spend another $1.5 million on contractors to “observe mail and administrative operations” at email centers that have ended with a recent spending sweep.
“Day was never about 'fair'. It was to enforce ideological conformance and institutionalize discrimination. Closing these useless, divisive programs is a victory for all students.” Expense cuts.
“More states need to follow,” Neely said.

Doge is taking major vacuum expenditure efforts within the DOE, and announced the end of three grants in early February.

Amid Trump's vance crackdown on certain teachings, several universities, such as Missouri State University and West Virginia University, have begun to close DEI's offices.
