New York Mayor Eric Adams and Trump-administrator border Tom Homan sat side by side in an exclusive Fox News interview on Friday.
The two discussed plans to reopen the U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) office on Rikers Island to ensure that “dangerous” illegal immigrants are deported.
“Bringing back to Riker's Island is a game changer. How intelligent is the bad guys really hitting the streets? [Tren de Aragua] All this intelligence they gathered on Rikers Island in the place they run said with Adams in “Fox & Friends.”
“The far left hijacked this story [that] Ice runs in our schools, ice runs in our churches, and they are creating this frenzy. They're not in the business of just grabbing kids. Mayor Adams needs to stop all this noise.”
Bondi is announcing a new lawsuit against the state that is said to not comply with immigration lawsuits: “New DOJ”
“After all the reforms, Rikers Island, especially Rikers Island, now has some of the most dangerous people in our city, and we have ice on Rikers Island, which is part of our gang intelligence. By having it, we can identify with Intel with NYPD Correctors. Gangs on and off the street.'
Mayor Eric Adams and Border Emperor Tom Homan joined Fox & Friends to discuss recent meetings on border security and policy.
Adams also stood firm against those protesting the US Department of Justice's decision to shut down “Quid Pro Quo” charges about his border security cooperation and to stop the charges in bribery cases.
“Think of my lawyer, Alex Spiro, as one of the nation's top trial lawyers, imagine him inside. I'll charge him,” the mayor said Friday.
“It's a quid pro. It's a crime,” he continued. “Now, this is ridiculous.”
Adams responded to several DOJ officials who resigned in exchange for compliance with the order to withdraw bribery charges against him.
His resignation came in an effort to rethink President Donald Trump's agency. He said he was weaponized against his political opponents, and has chosen to lead the office where Trump temporarily indicts Adams, including Manhattan's US lawyer Daniel Sasson.
Sussone wrote to Attorney General Pam Bondy about her decision, saying, “I remain confused by the rushed, superficial process that reached this decision, and not being rewarded, Adams's defense is that It should be called for what is: an inappropriate offer of immigration enforcement assistance in exchange for dismissal of his case.”
The Democratic mayor previously claimed he was targeted by the Biden administration and has since been willing to cooperate with the Trump administration's crackdown to curb illegal immigration.
Adams pleaded not guilty to accusations of accepting bribes from Turkish officials.
“They made it precisely clear about 'weaponization'. you [look] Turns into bribery in the leg room. The government agency asked to inspect the building, so the roots of all this need to be clear. ”
Three other agents from the Department of Justice's Public Corruption Unit — Rob Hebare, Jen Clark and Marco Palmieri — also resigned from the Adams case on Thursday.
