The media’s misinformation machine is built to last — here’s why

While the liberal prejudice of Legacy Press is not new, conservatives rarely delve into the “method” and “why” behind it all. With the 2024 election and the associated intervention of elite media, the legacy media behind us has moved from protecting Democrats to attacking them in certain cases. Three books on liberal media bias explain why the media elite's misinformation machine never stops.

He is nearly 25 years old, but Bernard Goldberg's “bias” remains a valuable resource. This was one of the first books to address this issue, reaching the heart of the issues within the journalism industry. “A CBS Insider reveals how media distorts news,” says Goldberg's experience as a 28-year veteran reporter. He was fired after airing complaints in the Wall Street Journal about CBS's growing left-facing drift, including boss Dan, rather.

There is no fairness, balance, or fairness. It's just a direct advocacy for the left agenda.

Goldberg recalls his years at CBS and elsewhere, pointing to the industry attracting people who want to “change the world.” Conservatives who value religion, heritage, nation, and family and generally refuse to overturn ancient institutions are unlikely to fit this type. This might explain what a friend said to me recently: His graduation class at a top journalism school had about “2.5 years old” including himself.

Goldberg writes that these “world-changing” types do not consider themselves as bias when attacking conservative policies and opinions. They simply view their preferences as “common sense.” This is a phrase that is rather used in conversations with Goldberg. But considering how life is for sheltered journalists, Afar From 99% of the US, the question is: Common with whom?

Goldberg points out that if his colleagues believed that attention to important causes would lead to “positive change,” it would have been okay to lie to the audience. One example of what he calls “noble decoration” was attempting to portray heterosexuals as equally susceptible to AIDS in the 1980s and 90s. This tactic was designed to be vigilant for straight people, and ignored the reality that AIDS was primarily a problem among gay men. Goldberg points to an article with the headline “40% of AIDS patients are heterosexual.” However, the story failed to admit that most of the 40% were intravenous drug users.

“Bias” does an excellent job of exposing the moral blindness of the media. Goldberg, after accusing CBS News of bias in the Wall Street Journal, rather speaks of how furious his colleagues were. One of them even compared his discovery of his wife to reading the work. Of course, this sensitivity is rich from industries that support whistleblowers and their entire existence revolves around interference in other industries. Consider former Washington Post reporter Taylor Lorenz, who cried after being criticised for social media influencer Tiktok's Libs on Doxx.

Manufacturing dissatisfaction

Matt Taibi's 2019 book “Hate, Inc.” also reveals hypocritical hypersensitivity in the media. For example, while on the 2004 campaign trail, Taibbi recalls receiving a complaint from Howard Kurtz of the Washington Post after breaking unwritten rules by getting videos from the press department without permission. . Again, media facilities feel they are struggling with what they do all the time.

Taibbi's book, entitled “Does Today's Media Sneak Us to Each Other?”, is a book that has been called “Manufacturing Dissatisfaction between Republicans and Democrats, due to fake media alarms over liberal causes. “Moves to newer, more harmful phenomena. Taibbi describes this as “selling siloed rage” to attract more clicks and views. He writes that today's mass media consumers are often given content that simply confirms bias.

Taibbi has harshly criticized people like Sean Hannity and Rachel Maddow (each of which is featured on the cover of his book). He especially criticizes his former friend Madou for promoting the “Russia Zet” conspiracy theory to address Donald Trump's 2016 victory. Taiwan's friend Glenn Greenwald has commented on the seriousness of pushing such harmful lies and is still fueling the Democrats' bloody bad guys over Russia's defeat in the conflict with Ukraine He says it is likely.

It's all active now

Outlets like Maddow's MSNBC essentially sell “consumer products” to people, Taibbi points out. They provide viewers with a “political safe space” that matches a particular political party. Media Studies Professor Andrei Mir explores this in his 2020 book.Postjournalism and the death of newspapers,” he details how media business models have changed in the post-internet era, changing the way news is chosen and reported.

Previously, left-wing media analysts like Noam Chomsky argued that founding reporting distorted the reporting in order to make up the wealthy elite (the most coveted demographic of advertisers). Now, the media is distorting the report to address its activist readers. Newspapers are calling “members” and donors for revenue as advertisers are moving to more efficient technologies like Facebook and Google (which control 80% of the advertising market). It has changed into something. These people, like everyone else, can read the news online for free, but they can choose to give money to the outlet because they like what they say.

Treating outlets like advocacy groups means that only the biggest publications, such as the New York Times and the Washington Post, can attract support. What these “advocacy groups” are paying not only to provide information, but to push the outlet's message and shape public opinion the way they want it to.

The legacy press, previously seen by corporate advertisers (again, Chomsky's view), now relies on activists who fund it. As a result, daily story choices are driven by “the most resonant and overwhelming social issues that could justify fundraising and inspire readers to donate.” This process encourages journalism to be “mutated into propaganda.” There is no fairness, balance, or fairness. It's just a direct advocacy for the left agenda.

The meaning behind the fact that the “save” type works with other “save” types is that the expectations for elite media to change should be equal. Lower. For conservatives who hope that after Kamala Harris' recent defeat, corporate left-wing media will reach their senses and perhaps reduce their bias: it's unlikely to happen anytime.
