New DNC chair: Union workers, labor leaders will be 'core to my decision-making'

New Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Ken Martin said Tuesday that union workers and Labour leaders will be “center of my decision-making.”

“When Trump fights a war with working families, Democrats respond vigorously to my favourite old union song, “Which side are you on?” What do I say to you: Democrats are on the side of the workers,” he said. “We show Americans every day that workers actually have more power than billionaires.”

President Trump's recent re-election, as well as the maintenance of Republican homes and the recovery of the Senate, rattles Democrats. The party has been searching for their identity ever since.

Following the election results, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) argued that Democrats largely ignored the priorities of the working class, which is the biggest reason why they lost the federal government. He pointed out.

Martin said late last year that the New York Times “has been deeply unsettled… For the first time in modern history, the majority of Americans believe that Republicans best represent the interests of the working class and the poor.” He said he felt it.

“I basically believe that our party is based on the values, principles and aspirations of the working class,” Martin said in a memo on Tuesday.

“As the chairman of the DNC, that belief guides my decision and will approach it in the next few years. In contrast, only in his first month, Donald Trump has been an important kitchen table for most Americans. It became clear that we didn't care about the issue,” he added.

Oka reached out to the White House for comments.
