Zelenskyy commented to a Kyiv reporter after cancelling a trip to Saudi Arabia, where the US and Russia held peace talks earlier this week.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio led the US delegation to Saudi Arabia and met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce also confirmed that Rubio's team has agreed to “lay the foundation for cooperation” with Russia on a variety of issues in addition to Ukraine. They also agreed to appoint a “high-level team” to begin working on the path to end the conflict in Ukraine.
A ceasefire will be seen in the proposed framework for a peace agreement, followed by elections in Ukraine and signing the final agreement.
