Former CNN political analyst Chris Sillitza warned Wednesday that the intense Democratic hatred of President Donald Trump undermines the possibility of regaining government control.
Republicans secured unified federal control in November, Trump regained the White House, and the GOP turned the Senate over and kept the majority of the home. Kiliza argued that “balance” and that Democrats' hostility towards Trump has led them to adopt a disastrous political strategy. clock:
“They just have a blind spot with Trump, and I don't think that what he proposes is even a good idea,” Cillizza said. “Again, if it was proposed by Republican President James P. Public, they would be like, 'Well, maybe.' But it's because it's him, and the disgust is – I'll use that word with advice, but they hate him, all ideas are bad ideas. ”
“And I think it leads to some poor strategic conclusions as they have power at all levels of the state and federal government, just as your goal should be a Democrat goal.” He continued.
News Nation host Chris Cuomo scored similar points on Wednesday, and comprehensive denunciations by Democrat Trump and Head Elon Musk of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) have been reported to have been “learning from the 2024 election loss.” It shows that there is no one.
“Whatever Trump or Musk does, they have to blame, they have to personally denounce it on the basis of people. Trump is a Nazi. The mask has apartheid roots. There is… they're just defending the facility,” Cuomo said. “And I don't think that's where you want to be now. You want to be a better business, and they still seem to be in a business that draws the other side worse. ”
Democrats are divided into ways of opposing the Trump administration, but some, like Democrat Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy, have argued for a unified resistance to the president's overall agenda.
“We need to act like a real opposition party in the midst of a constitutional and democratic crisis,” Murphy said. I said “That means we shouldn't advance candidates or laws in the US Senate.”
But Democrat California Rep. Locanna said on Wednesday that his party should not provide the same old status quo, and that his comeback was “a lot of things wrong for work and middle-class Americans.” He added that we need a vision to recognize: a positive vision of what we are trying to do for their financial success and the economic success of our communities.”
The Democratic Party's approval rating plunged to a nearly history-low 31% among registered voters. According to We went to Quinnipiac University Polling, which was released on January 29th.
