Mayor Eric Adams announced Thursday that “Broadway on Broadway” will crack down on quality of life issues after seeing a new surge in urban resources, notorious for its open drug use and tort.
Adams said his multi-agency “Community Link” program will descend into the commercial area between Melrose and Motthaven, known as the “Hub.”
“Adding hubs to this network will address complex, chronic complaints and improve public safety at Hunts Point.
The exact details on how community links work on the hub were not given during the announcement of the major mayor. His staff was shortened after reporters asked questions about Gov. Kathy Hochul, who could cut his strength.
A news release showed the hub would join other “hotspot” communities, including prostitute-filled Roosevelt Avenue and mentally impaired Haven Midtown West.
