Vegas vixen drugged, robbed men in deadly 3-year romance scam: FBI

Federal authorities have caught a serial seducer who fled to Mexico, allegedly drugged and robbed several older men in a fatal three-year Las Vegas scam.

Mexican police arrested 43-year-old Aurora Phelps, accused of using dating apps to seduce, drug and steal a man's identity between 2019 and 2022.

She is said to have fled the victims for hundreds of thousands of dollars and linked them to the three deaths.

“This is a steroid romance scam,” said Spencer Evans, a special agent in charge of the FBI's Las Vegas division. “We believe Aurora Phelps will intentionally and systematically target older men and steal them by drugging them.”

Phelps, who is being held in Mexico, said Acting U.S. Attorney General for the District of Nevada, Sue Fahami, faces 21 counts including wire fraud, identity theft and one lunatic. .

At one point, Phelps fled south of the border, but she was arrested by Mexican police and is now waiting for extradition to the United States.

Despite identifying several victims, authorities believe it has only damaged the surface of Phelps' fraud.

The FBI called for her victim to come forward and posted a photo of the seducer on its website.
