American Airlines flights from New York have detoured to Rome, Italy, following “possible security issues.”

On Sunday, American Airlines Flight 292 departed from John F. Kennedy International Airport and headed to Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi when it was rerouted to Rome.
“American Airlines flight AA292, operated from New York to Delhi, has been repurposed to Rome due to the potential security threats on board. We are working closely with local governments and the situation is as follows. We will provide you with updates as it develops. We appreciate the patience and cooperation of our passengers.”
According to reports from ABC Newsthere was a bomb threat to the aircraft that I received via email.
American Airlines said New York Post That “safety and security are our number one priority and we appreciate the understanding of our customers.”
According to a senior official who was explained about the issue, Indian authorities had insisted on checking out the aircraft before landing in New Delhi.
Passengers on the aircraft will be screened by bus at the terminal and searched for the aircraft.
