WASHINGTON – President Trump told Ukrainian President Voldymir Zelensky he was “gambling with World War I” during a fiery oval office exchange on Friday.
The high stakes visit fell off the rails, as Vice President JD Vance leaned against Zelensky, making his American counterpart appear to have been reduced slightly.
Vance said, “It would be rude for Zelensky to come to an oval office and file a lawsuit in front of the American media,” according to a Poole report.
Trump then raised his voice, telling Zelensky, “You're not in a really good position right now.”
“You're gambling with World War II,” the US president said.
“Have you ever said thank you?” the Vice President rang.
“You went to Pennsylvania and campaigned for the opposition.”
Trump then told Zelensky, “The soldiers were running low…and then you're telling us you don't want a ceasefire.”
