Trump-Zelensky Oval Office Meeting Goes Up In Flames After Two Sides Duke It Out In Front Of Cameras

President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance took Ukrainian President Voldymi Zelenki on Friday and after openly criticizing the United States for not stopping Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Trump, not like Putin or Zelensky, is determined to negotiate a deal to end the war, but Vance insisted that the current administration is “involved in diplomacy.” Zelensky argued that the US failed to stop Putin and challenged Vance's argument that the nation was engaged in “diplomacy.”

“In 2015, no one stopped. [Putin]. He also occupied them. He killed people,” Zelensky said. “[Throughout] 2014 and 2022 situation [was] same. People were almost dying on the content line, no one stopped him… he broke this ceasefire. He killed our people and did not trade prisoners. We signed a prisoner exchange. But he didn't do that. What kind of diplomacy, JD, are you talking? what do you mean? “

“I'm talking about the kind of diplomacy that will end the destruction of your country,” Vance said. “Mr. President, Mr. President, with respect, I think it's rude to you to come to the oval office and try to sue this in front of the American media. Now, you're forced to conscription on the frontline because of the human resources issues. You should be grateful to the president for trying to end this conflict… I've actually seen the story. I know what's going to happen, you bring people in, you bring them on a propaganda tour, President, do you oppose the problem of bringing people into your army? And do you think it's rude to come to the oval office of the United States and attack the administration trying to prevent the destruction of your country?” (Related: “Let's do it”: Ukrainian President Zelenki says yes to Trump's request)

Trump said Zelensky's bliss that he “disregarded” the United States and that, given that he was at war, he had no position to criticize the nation.

“We're trying to solve the problem. We shouldn't tell you what we're trying to feel,” Trump told Zelensky. “You're not in a position to direct it, so remember it. You're not in a position to direct what we're trying to feel. We feel very good and feel very strong. You're not in a very good position right now… You don't have a card now. With us, you have a card. You're playing cards. You're gambling with a lot of life and millions of people. You're gambling with World War II. You're gambling with World War II. What you're doing is very rude to this country. It's much more supportive of you than many people you say it should have.”

“Have you ever said thank you?” Vance then asked Zelensky to insist he had. “No, have you ever said thank you in this whole meeting? You went to Pennsylvania and campaigned for the opposition in October. Please give us a thank you to the President who is trying to save the United States and your country.”

Zelenskyy accused Vance of “talking about the war very loudly,” claiming that his country “stopped strong” through the conflict. Trump reminded the Ukrainian president that Ukrainians have been opposed to Russia since 2022, as they spent billions of dollars in taxpayer dollars to help the United States generously send military equipment and fight the war.

Vance told Zelenskyy that he should “sue.” [their] “He's not traveling to the US to call the leaders of the country, but disagreement.”
