Ukrainian leader Voldimir Zelensky's Trump Smackdown was a true “home of history,” US security adviser Mike Waltz said. Saturday Breitbart News.
“What a historical moment,” he began. “I think that's a moment when historians, Smithsonians and others study for quite some time.”
“I have to say, I don't think the mainstream media will do that, but I know you and others will unleash the entire episode — not just the small clips people show, but I can see why Vice President Vance had Zelensky's body language,” he said.

“It was totally inappropriate. It was a wrong approach, a wrong president, and for him and his country, it was a wrong moment in history,” he explained, delving into the importance of the mineral trade that Zelensky remained unsigned.
“I was on the phone with my counterpart, the co-chief national security adviser. Recently, President Zelensky signed not only to sign a minimum, but to show that he was serious, not only to the minimum, but to show that he was serious, and this contract was closed and ready to move forward. He explained that he wanted Zelensky to come in and demand a 'security guarantee' and clearly wanted it to remain open. The waltz said it was essentially a commitment to the US military. It's inappropriate. If you don't agree with our approach, you'll take it behind a closed room,” he says, adding that he believes Zelensky will not receive the message.

“He's used to coming to the White House with Joe Biden, and you know – and this is what Biden says – “We don't make any decisions about Ukraine. Only you do.” Now, I think American taxpayers sent a very different message in the election of Donald Trump, but that's enough and enough,” Waltz said.
Waltz said he and Secretary of State Marco Rubio had expressed to Zelensky how unacceptable the entire episode was, just as he and Secretary of State Marco Rubio drove him out.
“What I told him was that time wasn't on your side here. It's not on your side on the battlefield, it's definitely not on your side, politically not on your side, but on your side in terms of the perseverance of Americans, American taxpayers. And I still don't think he got that message, as you can see in the interviews that follow. What he did yesterday was real harm to his country,” Waltz added.
