Disney's subsidiary streaming platform Hulu apologised for the tech glitches and suspension during Oscar's TV stream on Sunday.
During the Oscar Television on Sunday, several users took him to social media and complained that the live stream of the broadcast on Hulu had been inexplicably lost. The platform later apologised and condemned the issue regarding “technical issues.”
“I experienced technical and livestream issues yesterday evening on Hulu, which affected Oscar viewers. We apologize for the experience, a Disney spokesman said in a statement.
According to thewraP, Oscar's first broadcast was broadcast simultaneously on both ABC and Hulu.
“According to Down Detector, a digital services monitoring site, over 30,000 users have reported issues using their Hulu accounts to watch Oscars,” the outlet said.
