Democratic strategist James Kerrville said Tuesday in CNN's “Situation Room” that President Donald Trump is “actively trying to destroy the United States” because he could “hate” the country.
When asked how Democrats should respond to Trump's upcoming speech, Kerrville said: We think there is a very good choice for Senator Slotkin to deliver the rebuttal. But my advice is that this country is currently in a tough position so you don't go or sit in your hands and look strict. I hope Democrats act that way. ”
“People are flummoxed. I'm also because I think Donald Trump hates America,” Carville said.
He added: “North America has been an economic power for the last 20 years. That is, looking at the economic power of Canada, the US and Mexico, that's pretty impressive. You're trying to explain why he's doing this, so I don't know? Why is he making this Zelensky? Why is he voting for North Korea and Russia, and does God know Belarus and the United Nations? I don't get it from my heart that this guy has any chance. We have to consider the possibility that the President hates our country. People say no, he's just full of resentments and stuff, which may be true, but that explains why he's out of his way to hurt the country at any fork that can, that is, until he sids with North Korea and Belarus.”
