Ohio Republican Sen. Bernie Moreno is blowing up a handful of judges in his state as he argued that “urgent” powers could override federal immigration laws and prevent ice from wrapping up illegal aliens.
Moreno torested one judge for claiming that these “fraudulent judges,” particularly one judge, were powered to block ice immigration enforcement activities in Ohio.
His March 4th letterthe senator criticized Franklin County Judge Kim Brown, warning her that “no one is above the law,” but added, “even so, you're giving a pass to illegal aliens.”
Moreno expressed his “good shock and disgust” in Judge Brown's position that county judges have the power to block federal immigration laws, calling him a “fraud judge” whom Brown and her colleagues.
“According to multiple media outlets, Moreno wrote: “The Rogue elected judge issued two “emergency” rules that sought to override President Trump's orders by banning federal law, state law, the Department of Homeland Security immigration orders and President Trump's executive orders.
The senator continued to remind Judge Brown that obstructing an ice officer is a crime and that her “local rules” are illegal.
“The “local rules” that fly in the face of federal and state laws, the Department of Homeland Security's immigration orders, and President Trump's executive orders, protect illegal foreigners who have entered the country illegally and can also face other civil or criminal charges. “You must be embarrassed.”
The senator didn't write words as he kept hugging the judge because of her conceit.
“I now turn to your awful form of rulemaking. Hilariously, you cite “the legitimate process” and “access to justice on behalf of the public” as justifications of your lawlessness,” writes Moreno. “We also issued these rules on a 'urgent' basis, bypassing public opinion. Will 17 judges receive access to justice and justice when 17 judges create and declare a false emergency to prohibit the law from the entry of illegal aliens? You can certainly send quotes and talk points to the media, but you cannot post these Assinine rules on your public website, as all Ohio states can see. Why are you wasting Ohaion's time and resources to protect illegal aliens more than your own members? ”
Moreno went on to call Brown's decision “disgrace.”
The senator concluded that her “local rules” were in effect and ordered Judge Brown to provide legal analysis with reasons why federal immigration laws could be correctly invalidated. Moreno asks Brown to pinpoint exactly what the “emergency” gave her these powers. Why she and other judges have not published “local rules” on their website. And how she hopes to enforce it was “local rules.”
