Country singer Ingrid Andres relived his way into the packed stadium and sang “Star Spangld Banner” drunk in his first interview after leaving the rehabilitation facility.
The four-time Grammy nominee's “worst moment” happened in the home run derby of Major League Baseball in mid-July, after which she admitted to being drunk.
“To make me like, 'This is the problem,' you just knew,” Ron said. “Viall File” podcast Thursday.
The diva, known for her liquor-related hits like “Hopeful Drinks” and “Lime Waste,” admitted that she “don't care” how her performance progressed that day.
In a bold display at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, the vocalists directed the slurry on the pitch of “The Star Spangled Banner.”
“I was leaving so much, and then I thought I liked nailing it,” the 33-year-old shared.
When the songwriter woke up the next day, it was the first time she realized she had serious problems.
“I remember, 'Okay, this is different from me. This isn't okay,” she recalled.
Before his failed performance, the Colorado native said he has been drinking heavily for over three months after a series of events.
“I didn't realize how much I couldn't let myself process my feelings of sadness,” Andres said.
Following the national anthem's ordeals released a statement without approval from her team.
“I'm not going to go to bullfighting. Everything was drunk last night. I'm checking myself at the facility today to get the help I need,” Andres wrote in a social media statement at the time.
A few hours later, she was in a rehabilitation facility without a phone call, spending six months in Colorado “from the grid.”
“It's okay to be an American punch bag,” she said, reflecting on the debacle.
Her virus moment comes two days after President Trump was shot in the ear at a Pennsylvania rally, and when Democrats were calling for former President Biden to drop out of the race.
“For a moment, everyone was united in the fact that I was so bad that in a way I felt like we've united America,” she said.
“You had to meet me at my worst moment,” Andres said. “So I hope everything from here is great now.”
Andres has been contacted by other country music artists, including Kelsey Ballerini and Elle King.
Andres returned to the spotlight by releasing a new single and successfully singing the national anthem at the Colorado Avalanche Game on February 28th.
