US President Donald Trump said Friday that he has appointed Fox News host Laura Ingraham and Fox business anchor Maria Bartilomo to the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts board.
In February, weeks after taking office, Trump fired the Center's president, replaced the council and appointed him as the organisation's chairman.

The move marks the acquisition by Trump of a cultural institution known for its Honorary Performance at the Kennedy Center, home to the National Symphony Orchestra and the Washington National Opera.
“This completes our choice,” Trump told social media after announcing the appointments of Ingraham and Baltiromo.
Last month, Trump said Special US envoy Richard Grenell would serve as interim executive director for the center.
Since taking office on January 20th, Republican Trump has set out on the sidelines by launching a massive remodel of the government, cutting back on the bureaucracy and firing hundreds of civil servants and agency officials in the first step to establishing more loyalists.
During his first term in office, Trump refused to attend the annual Kennedy Center honors, and was considered an Arts Achievement Award. In December, at the final show attended by former President Joe Biden, the center's leaders revealed they were welcoming Trump's future arrival.
Earlier this week, the hit musical Hamilton cancelled its run at the center after Trump's acquisition.
