On Saturday, Iran's top leader accused the US of “trying to bully” Tehran in peace talks. President Trump has revealed that he has sent a letter to the country in a final ditch attempt to prevent the acquisition of nuclear weapons.
According to Iranian national media, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned that Trump claims that he is “trying to impose his own expectations” despite Washington that Iran does not cooperate with Washington.
“The arguments of some bullying governments regarding negotiations are not to resolve the issue, but to control and impose their own expectations,” Khamenei said at the meeting.
“Talking with them is a path to new expectations, and it's not just about Iran's nuclear issue. Iran definitely won't accept their expectations.”
Khamenei also repeated points on social media, but he did not specifically name the US.
“For a forced government, negotiations are a way to raise new demands. These new demands are certainly not met by Iran,” he said, fiercely anti-Western Supreme Leader. I wrote it on X.
“They should present or not do this new demands on the defense of the country and international capabilities. Don't see it, don't go there, don't create it, don't have missiles of greater range than this distance. Who can accept them?”
Khamenei's comments come a day after Trump said he fired the letter in hopes of lifting the agreement. This means that peaceful negotiations will work out “a lot better for Iran.”
Trump said the letter was one of the last acts that would prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, but its military action was still on the table.

“One other option is to have to do something because we can't let go of another nuclear weapon,” Trump told the FOX Business.
“There are two ways to deal with Iran: military, or you do business with them. I'm not trying to hurt Iran, so I prefer to do business. They're great people.”
Rafael Grossi, chief of the UN nuclear watchdog, said that time is running out of time for diplomacy as diplomacy imposes new restrictions as Iran continues to acquire uranium to arms grade
Tehran has repeatedly argued that its nuclear activity is for peaceful purposes only.
