President Trump's tariffs on China, Canada and Mexico are controversial and justifiable.

Regarding national security issues, ammunition and drugs, Ross believes that “different discussions will take place on tariffs.”
“The idea that there is a declaration of tariffs on this blanket rather than targeting these specific things and taking into account certain cases, perhaps gives us the most pause right now,” she says.
The STU agrees, but also understands the arguments that favor Trump's tariffs.
“I think a lot of people have a sense right now. It's like, “This is a good thing. I understand that there might be a bit of pain. Some products will potentially raise prices a little, but in the long run, this manufacturing needs to be brought back here.
But that's not enough to convince Ross that it's the right move either.
“This should be a very careful dance,” says Ross. “I think being more surgical at tariffs would potentially achieve at least a lot of what's being told to us and me. This could lead to better results in more challenging and challenging situations than this big step-by-step across the board, like those who are experiencing economics of worrying about what's going on and what's going on.”
Ross is also a small business advocate, raising further concerns about tariffs.
“I'm also worried about small businesses that don't have the options available to some of these big companies,” she says.
