Trump, Musk Respond to South Africa; Blast Racial Discrimination

President Donald Trump and entrepreneur Elon Musk both responded to South Africa's latest diplomatic provocation on Friday, with both denounced the country's racist laws and practices.

Earlier this week, senior members of the ruling African National Congress (ANC) party met with South Africa's Iranian ambassador, violating Trump's executive order, which criticized relations with Iran last month.

South African news24.com It has been reported:

The ANC says it will maintain relations with Iran's Islamic Republic regardless of sanctions imposed by the US.

The party has historic ties with Iran, but will not hide its friend, Nomovra Mokonein, the first deputy director general of the ANC, told News24 on Wednesday.

Earlier this week, South African Parliament discussed Trump's recent decision to cut off aid to South Africa. In fact, Minister of Health Aaron Mossoaredi I defended Trump, and South Africa, said he should be more self-sufficient: “Trump doesn't borrow a cent thing from South Africa, so we need to stand on our own.”

But others, including extremist opposition Julius Malema, denounce Trump, known as the Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF).

Meanwhile, South Africa's Police Service (SAPS) has launched an investigation into treason charges against two organizations representing Africans and farmers.

Apparently in response, Trump posted to the true society of the truth that he has repeatedly moved his invitation to South African farmers to the US:

South Africa is terrible for longtime farmers in the country. They confiscate the land and farms, and it's far worse than that. It's a bad place right now and we're stopping all federal funds. To take it a step further, farmers from South Africa (with their families!) who try to flee the country for security reasons are invited to the United States on a rapid path to citizenship. This process starts soon!

Musk also commented on South Africa, noting that Starlink could not be launched in South Africa due to Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) laws that require black ownership.

Musk was commenting on the video of Dave Rubin's interview with South African investor and commentator Rob Hersov. He correctly pointed out that post-apartheid South Africa has many racist laws.

South Africa has also developed ties with terrorist organizations in Iran, China, Russia and Palestinian.

Many South Africans are concerned about declining relations with the US, which could affect its trade and irritate economic growth. The South African economy rose just 0.6% in the fourth quarter of 2024.

It remains to be seen whether the South African government continues to cause Trump or find a way to compromise.
