A University of Pittsburgh student has mysteriously disappeared during his spring break holiday in the Dominican Republic, and a search is currently underway.
Sudiksha Conanki, 20, from northern Virginia, was reported missing in Punta Cana on Thursday, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Punta Cana is located in the east of the Caribbean island country and is a popular tourist hotspot.
Conanki was last seen at the beach at the 5-star RIU Republica resort around 4:50am, but has not been heard since then, according to flyers distributed online. Local news reports say she was walking the beach at the time.
