Secretary of State Marco Rubio clashed with Polish Foreign Minister Radslo Sikorsky, calling him ungrateful to Elon Musk's Starlink aid after Sikorsky suggested that Ukraine might need an alternative.

The exchange occurred on Sunday through a series of X posts. This began after Musk was accused of “not only criticizing Ukraine, but not Putin.”
Musk said, “My Starlink system is the backbone of the Ukrainian army. If I turn it off, their entire frontline will collapse. What I'm tired of is the year of a deadly massacre that Ukraine inevitably loses. Anyone who really cares, really thinks and understands wants to stop the grinder of meat. Peace now!!!”
Following the post of Musk, Sikorsky jumped in and accused Musk of threatening to pull Starlink from the Ukrainian forces.
“Ukrainian Starlink is paid by Poland's Ministry of Digitalization for a cost of around $50 million a year. If SpaceX proves to be an unreliable provider, the ethics that threaten the victims of the attack will force you to look for other suppliers,” he writes.
Rubio stepped into the conversation following Sikorsky's post, accusing him of “just creating things.”
“No one is threatening to cut Ukraine from Starlink. Without Starlink, please say thank you as the Russians were now crossing the border with Poland, as Ukraine would have lost this war long ago.”
Meanwhile, the US has decided to press Kiev to negotiate an end to the war and halt intelligence sharing with Ukraine in order to revoke access to certain satellite images.
Musk responded to Rubio's post, adding, “What Secretary Rubio says is absolutely correct.”
The public feud with Sikorsky, which Musk and Rubio united, is in contrast to last week's report of tensions between the Ministry of Government Efficiency (DOGE) leader and the Secretary of State.
President Donald Trump came out on Saturday to condemn the reported rift, writing in a true social post that the two have “a great relationship.” Any other statements are fake news!!!”
President Trump also spoke in a February interview about the media trying to create tension between Musk and Trump himself.
“It's so obvious. They're so bad. I thought they were good at it,” Trump said in February with Musk. “They're actually bad because if they were good at it, I don't think anyone in history has gotten worse publicity than me, so I'm never going to be president.”
