GOP Senator Lindsey Graham warned on Sunday that it was “worst than Afghanistan” to end Ukrainian aid.

“The goal is to honor the war and end it rightly. You know that Zelensky blew it out in the White House. We've been working on this mineral trade for a very long time, but we're where we are. Yeah, I'm worried about blocking out intelligence and weapons to Ukraine as long as the battle is happening. If you pull the plug in Ukraine, it's worse than Afghanistan,” Graham said.
“President Trump doesn't want to do that, but he will give Ukraine what he needs in terms of intelligence and weapons to protect himself until a ceasefire occurs,” he continued.
Graham's comments (Rs.C.) tried to put pressure on Kiev on a peace deal after President Donald Trump announced a freeze on Ukrainian aid and sharing intelligence news.
Graham's reference to Afghanistan refers to the Biden administration's tragic withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021, killing 13 military personnel and injuring another 45 people, along with the deaths of 130 Afghan citizens.
“As for Russia, we will introduce sanctions on their banking and energy sectors next week, urging them to reach the table,” Graham added. “If they are not engaged in ceasefires and peace negotiations, we should sanction hell from them.”
The appeal for economic sanctions continues after President Donald Trump warned Russia on Friday that Russia would place sanctions and tariffs on Russia until a peace deal is agreed.
“Currently, based on the fact that Russia is absolutely “pounding” Ukraine on the battlefield, I am strongly considering tariffs and tariffs on Russia until we reach a major bank sanctions, sanctions and tariffs on Russia and a final settlement agreement on peace. To Russia and Ukraine, reach the table now before it's too late. thank you! ! ! “Trump wrote in the Truth Social Post.
Peace negotiations have proven difficult following Ukrainian President Voldy Mie Zelensky's visit to the White House on February 28ththIt ended with the screams of Zelensky and President Trump.
Trump accused Zelensky of “gambling with World War II,” and his decision was “a country that is “very rude to the country, and supports you far more than many people say they should have.”
The conference is reportedly to end with a mineral trade in which the US receives Ukraine's rare earth minerals.
“We are trying to consolidate our economy, we are trying to make sure Ukraine has value in the American economy.
Since the public's feud with President Trump, Zelensky has revealed he has “remorried” how the meeting has gone down.
“It's time to get things right. Zelensky hopes that future cooperation and communication will be constructive. He added that he is ready to reach a peace agreement under President Trump's “strong leadership.”
Additionally, Zelensky issued a recent update on Friday, saying: Many jobs will be held next week in Europe, the US and Saudi Arabia. We are preparing meetings to accelerate peace and strengthen the foundations of security. ”
“Today, the intense work with President Trump's team is ongoing at various levels. There are numerous calls. The topic is clear – peace as soon as possible, security as surely as possible. Ukraine is fully committed to a constructive approach,” added Zelensky.
