Florida school shooting thwarted, police say

The Florida teenager was arrested Sunday after a video of him appeared showing up, appearing to threaten a massive shooting at a local high school.

The Sanford Police Department, located about 25 miles in Orlando, said it received anonymous hints on Saturday “about a video of an unknown man threatening to film Seminole High School.”

“The video depicted subjects with multiple guns, vests and other concerns,” police said. I said in the release. “On receiving the information, Sanford investigators and other law enforcement partners immediately began working to verify the identity of the unknown man in the video.”

Police said they have arrested a 17-year-old person in connection with a school-related alleged online threat. The hill has not been named a suspect. Police said they were arrested at home without incident.

The suspect was charged with threats and electronic threats of mass shooting or terrorist law.
