Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) praised fellow Democrats for “hiding” Republicans from the American people, referring to GOP's avoidance of in-person city hall.

“Democrats are actually showing up to listen to people and meet with people, while Republicans are said to be hidden by their leadership, but they don't go out in public or have city hall.
Her remarks come when House Republicans are encouraged to keep more calls or live-streamed City Hall after activists have rocked several in-person events. Members and protesters alike have expressed their dissatisfaction with Trump's government efficiency (DOGE) and his major ally Elon Musk's efforts to cut federal spending.
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and President Trump both claim that the protesters are “paid” actors funded by Democrats.
After speaking out against wealth inequality for decades, Sanders has been sending direct messages to the American people over the past few weeks. He holds city halls and rallies, particularly in the Midwest, which he calls the unstable Republican Congressional District, criticizing the administration and the Doge, and claims they are against the public.
Sanders was a huge success at the rally, with thousands attending. Warren said the Vermont Senator broadcasted as gathering the energy of Americans who didn't vote for what the administration is doing now.
“People are showing up because last Tuesday night, Donald Trump said he was doing everything he was doing, because that's what the American people voted for, and I think people are saying, 'Man, we didn't vote for this.'
“We didn't vote to undercut teachers, students or public schools,” she continued. “We didn't vote to say that little babies don't have access to the health care they need.”
A Massachusetts Democrat said, “People across the country want not only a government that works for us, but a government that works for us, not just a few billionaires.” That is the purpose of this meeting. ”
