A Seattle-area man who claims to be a woman has rescinded his appointment to the city council after a public backlash over his explicit, only account.
On Thursday, just before the start of a special meeting to reconsider his appointment, Jessica Anne Roberts withdrew his appointment to Lynwood City Council. In a statement of Daily HeraldRoberts showed that his appointment had become a “distraction.”
“My personal life and identity never affect my ability to work,” Roberts wrote in an email. “But I have decided to withdraw my appointment not because I don't want to serve the people in my community, but because the ongoing scrutiny of my personal life is a potential distraction for the Council's advance.”
The controversy over Roberts was more than just a “distraction.” The appointment to the council was made on Monday. Headlines across the country rear Lynnwood Times That night, I broke the story that Roberts had an account on onlyfans, a subscription site that contains amateur porn and other sexually exposed materials.
The account that Roberts admitted to belong to him was quickly disabled, not before some screenshots of that content went viral on social media. As previously reported by Blaze News, the promotional caption for @Jaroberts1501 stated, “Itty Bitty t **rities and Big Girl C **K. Bisexual transwoman with C*M is having a good time with Meeee.”
Perhaps even more intrusive, Roberts also appears to be the individual behind a Reddit user named Thetransbisch (u/other_aardvark_6105) who posted regularly.Dark and strange“fetish content regarding “breeding” with women, handing over to other “transfems” and even cannibalism.
Jonathan Cho, a senior journalism fellow, has pursued Roberts' story extensively, sharing it with X-pictures of Roberts' obvious online activities. They can be seen here and here.
In a statement to Blaze News, Councillor Patrick Decker on Wednesday claimed he had no prior knowledge of Roberts' online behavior. He also reiterated that he did not think that Roberts “in line with the gravity and severity of serving the people of Lynwood on the city council.”
“I'm disappointed that the right-wing blogger is out of the way…I don't trust women who have the daringness to serve her community.”
Decker and his fellow council members had scheduled a special meeting on Thursday to reconsider Roberts' appointment, but Roberts preempted the decision by withdrawing. They still held a meeting in front of what the Daily Herald described as a “standing room only crowd,” but did not choose a replacement.
Lynwood City Council is currently working until April 5th to fill the vacancy left by former Vice President Julieta Altamilano-Crosby, who resigned in January. Otherwise, the decision will be in the hands of Snohomish County Council.
Mayor Christine Fritzel said Thursday that the council will reach out to other candidates who have previously considered the position, including Forest Baum, Nazanin Rasigali, Robert Reuters and Chelsea Wright. Monday's vote returned to Roberts and Roberts, Army combat veterans and Amazon managers, Roberts and Roberts, but the council ultimately went unanimously with Roberts.
Video from the February meeting that all candidates, including Roberts, addressed to the council, can be seen below. Roberts appears around the 01:03:45 mark.
Meanwhile, District 32 Democrats are furious that Lynwood City Council even considered withdrawing Roberts' appointment. Spokesman Chris Roberts put the responsibility straight ahead to the popular X account – perhaps including Cho. Andy NGOand Tiktok's live performance -It dared to dare the truth about Jessica Anne Roberts.
“We are disappointed that right-wing bloggers are wiping out the voices of trances and don't get in the way of distrust that they don't trust the bold women who will serve her community,” Chris Roberts said.
The Democrats group is currently asking the city council to nominate another trans-identifying or other “LGBTQIA+” person. Otherwise, your ability to “live your own life” could be under threat.
“When trans rights and LGBTQIA+ visibility are more important than ever, we need to take a strong position for elected officials, cities and school districts to support LGBTQA+ members in our communities,” Chris Roberts' statement continued.
“We know that diversity must make our community stronger and stand up for those who are capable of living their lives. [sic] Most risks. ”
