Organizers of San Francisco Pride (SF Pride) shared financial concerns as large companies are acquiring funds this year.
Suzanne Ford, executive director of SF Pride, said the show will still be ongoing, but organizers must pay because of the low budget. Ford expressed doubt that was part of a wave of corporate distancing from itself Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) Programs under the Trump administration.
“I'm very worried. Obviously there's pressure from the federal government,” Ford said. Local Fox affiliate.
“The tone has changed in this country. Companies are already hedging bets. I think this is someone who is rethinking their investments, not their company's hardcore value,” Ford said.

SF Pride is a nonprofit organization that hosts its annual parades and festivals for two days in San Francisco. This year's theme, scheduled for June 28th-29th, is “Quere Joy is Resistance.” The event is one of the world's largest LGBTQ+ celebrations, attracting over 1 million attendees each year.

Five companies have drawn out sponsorships for SF Pride, resulting in a loss of around $300,000, telling Fox News Digital:
The companies that subtracted the funds reportedly include Benefit Cosmetics, Comcast, Anheuser-Busch, alcoholic beverage companies Diageo and Wine Company La Crema.
However, La Crema told Fox News Digital: “La Crema is completely committed to the LGBTQ+ community. We didn't have to scale back this year's SF Pride Activation, but we never left completely. We have continued conversations with our organizers.

The statement continued, “Our company is not distancing itself from DEI. We continue to support Pride events nationwide and in the backyard, and maintain our long-standing advocacy partnership with California Equality.”
