Israel Consulted Trump White House Before Renewing Attacks on Hamas

Israel consulted with President Donald Trump's administration before renewing the attack on Hamas in Gaza, White House press chief Carolyn Leavitt told Fox News Monday night.

As reported by Breitbart News, Israel returned to war after Hamas refused efforts to reach a second ceasefire contract to release all around 60 hostages (24 are believed to be alive). Hamas only offered releases of five Americans (one living).

Levitt said Honey About the Fox News, which Israel consulted with the administration, was giving it a missed thing to hit it.

During the presidential transition, Trump had warned Hamas that “gates to hell” would be opened if all hostages were not released. He kept that threat at bay during the 42-day ceasefire when 33 hostages, including three Americans, were released, but after Hamas delayed the release of some hostages and others released in a severely debilitating state, Trump said Israel is completely allowing anything it wants, as long as all hostages are not released.

Israel hesitated to use military force considering the unstable conditions of the remaining hostages, but ultimately acted on Monday after it was revealed that Hamas had rejected the proposal of special envoy Steve Witkov for a new ceasefire.

Israel had also blocked all aid to the Gaza Strip for several days in an attempt to deny Hamas' supply capacity. Both that and subsequent attacks are in perfect alignment with international law that prohibits hostages.

Israeli government spokesman David Mensah said Tuesday that Israel had not given up on releasing the remaining hostages. “The purpose of our war remains the same… to bring all our hostages homes,” he said.

Asked about criticism of Israel's decision to withhold aid, Mensah said, “We are at war with Hamas, not the people of Gaza,” he said that Hamas was planning to continue doing so “to reorganize and attack us.”

“That's not humane,” Mensah added. “It's a suicide and we won't allow it.”
