Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has described him as “dramatic judicial abuse” by the court that introduced laws to curb “dramatic judicial abuse” and issued an injunction against President Trump's agenda, including Congress of suspected criminal offences.
“A district court judge issued a record number of national injunctions against the Trump administration, a dramatic abuse of judicial authorities. We will introduce laws to stop this abuse forever,” Holy posted on social media site X.
Holy issued a statement amid several ongoing court battles between the Trump administration and district court judges.
James Boasberg, a Supreme Court Judge for the District of Columbia, issued an order over the weekend to stop El Salvador from expelling Venezuelan groups, including members of the Tren de Lagua gang.
The Trump administration continued to deport migrants after a stopover in Honduras despite a verbal written order that Boasberg tried to halt two deportations.
White House spokesman Caroline Leavitt told reporters the judge said “the president has no enforcement rights to deport foreign terrorists from our American soil.”
Another federal judge on Tuesday blocked Trump's executive order banning transgender people from serving the military.
On March 13, a federal judge ordered that the Department of Agriculture, Defense, Energy, Interior, Treasury and Veterans Affairs must immediately recover fired probation employees.
Earlier this month, US District Judge Judge John McConnell ruled that it would extend the injunction against the Trump administration's attempt to freeze federal grant payments, writing that the freeze “fundamentally undermines the clear constitutional role of each branch of the government.”
The Holy office said details about the laws that Missouri Senators intend to implement will be released later.
