A 49-year-old man was struck and killed by an e-bike on Friday, police said, as he crossed a Brooklyn street.
Lewis Cruz was surrounded by electric bikes while walking down Franklin Street in Greenpoint around 7:45pm on Friday night, NYPD told the Post.
The victim, who lives in neighbour Williamsburg, suffered severe head injuries and was taken to Bellevue Hospital in a critical condition where he was later declared dead.
Officers said E-Bike Rider remained at the scene of the accident and was not arrested or charged with the crime. No crime is suspected.
Franklin Street was closed hours after the accident as police investigated it.
