Fate of Shedeur Sanders' 2025 NFL Draft is in the air so many times, the first round officially being a month away.
When appearing on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Monday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport speculated that three quarterbacks could make their way into the top 15 when the draft began on April 24th, but could not determine where the former Buffaloes quarterback and his son would land.
“What Chedur Sanders goes is the biggest draft question mark I've ever remembered for such a long time,” Lapoport began.
“I know that our beloved Coach Prime, my former colleague, Great Dude, did an incredible job in Colorado,” Rapoport said. “I don't know that I hate it, but he's certainly talented, so people ask a lot of questions. He put two programs on his actual back and brought them back to national prominence… He's a rock star, but it's not a slam dunk, but it's not a slam dunk, as many people think. [Miami quarterback] Come Ward is.
“Chedure Sanders can go to Cleveland for second place? Is it possible? Three of them with the Giants. I could see it too, and for a month now, I have not thought of it at all.”
Sanders, who co-played under Hall of Fame father Dion in Jackson and Colorado, is one of the most talked about quarterback prospects of what is considered a slimy class.
The impression the 23-year-old left for some at the NFL scouting combine last month was that everything wasn't positive. NBC Sports Report The two teams felt that Sanders was “indifferent and not expert.”
ESPN's Louis Riddick came to Sanders' defense this month and compared the negativity of challenging the “Smear Campaign.”
“People are in this game… they've been trying to talk about a particular prospect for years,” Riddick said. “Deion (Sanders) is lightning. It starts there, it doesn't start with Chedur.
Deion, 57, told his son not to pay attention to the noise.
“First of all, don't believe anything that you said to him. People are trying to criticise you, so you'll fall on them. That's for now. That's for now. So don't believe it now. But he's talking to someone who's in the move.
“He talks to the head coach, the GM and all of the first three teams.
Titans were the first to choose this year's draft, followed by the second-placed Browns and third-placed Giants.
Ward, who believes many can get first overall, sent a message to Tennessee on Monday during his pro day.
“I said I'm solidifying it today.” The word said On the NFL network. “We've confirmed that they've heard it.”
If Sanders slides to the three and the Giants are still on the watch, one NFL Draft Analyst believes he will be a “really good fit.”
“[Brian] Dabour and [Joe] Shane can choose his quarterback. If they love him, they will take him with them. If not, you'll pass,” said Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN.
The Giants are targeting all offseasons, as Rams star Matthew Stafford's pursuit failed.
They remain in Aaron Rodgers' sweepstakes despite bringing veteran Jamaice Winston in a two-year, $8 million deal.
The Giants released start quarterback Daniel Jones following a corrupt 2-8 start last November. The previous first round pick was just two years to an extension of $160 million over four years.
